Need to re-home a hamster?
We know this isn't an easy decision, and there's no judgment here. Hamster surrenders in the Boulder and Denver-Metro area are now handled by the Humane Society of Boulder Valley, an open-admission shelter that will take your hamster and find them a loving home.
In the meantime, our care library can help you keep your hamster comfortable until the handoff, everything from bedding depth to the right wheel size.
Please don't release a hamster outdoors or leave one at a pet store. HSBV is the safe, humane option, and they're ready to help.
