Peanut

GHR received Peanut in early June 2025. Peanut is a 2-year-old, male, black, long-haired Syrian hamster. The average life-expectancy for this species of hamster is 2-3 years.

Peanut was surrendered to GHR when his family could no longer take care of him. Peanut is an incredibly sweet and snuggly hamster. Peanut has been through a lot and needs a stable home that will give him lots of attention. His favorite snack is broccoli. Peanut loves to be held, and is very calm, he also loves to burrow. Peanut would be a good hamster for a first time adopter!

Peanut comes with an enclosure containing all necessary items, one bag of paper-based bedding, one bag of food, and one bag of sand.

The adoption fee is $50.

An additional suggested donation of $50 to $75 is recommended to cover food, bedding, sand, and enclosure materials.
