Karen was incredibly excited to adopt Sunny! Karen has previously had dwarf hamsters, but never a Syrian. She will be the perfect home for Sunny, she is loving and insightful and everything Sunny needs. She asked lots of great questions to understand GHR’s process, and to learn how to be the best family and home for Sunny! We know they will have so much fun with each other!

Angie was so excited to adopt Aslan! The sweet little boy just stole her heart. Angie cares so much and will be the best hamster parent. Aslan is Angie’s first hamster since she was a kid, Angie was happy to adopt him. We know they will be so happy and that they love each other so much!

Evelyn is a first time hamster owner who is very excited about her new family member. Originally named Sweet Potato she is now named Pumpkin Spice Latte. Pumpkin is going to such a loving family who will take amazing care of her. Evelyn and her family are so excited to welcome her!

Elphaba is a little bit feisty, but she just needed to find the perfect home, and she did! She found an amazing home that will give her all of the love, snuggles, treats, and patience she could need! We are so happy for Elphaba and her new family, we know they will have lots of great times together!

Grogu was adopted by a young boy with lots and lots of love to give. He immediately fell in love with Grogu and knew that they were perfect for one another! We know they will be great friends and perfect family for one another.

Maia was thrilled at the chance to adopt Happy, and when they met they knew they were perfect friends! They came prepared with great questions and were ready to welcome Happy into their home! They are a wonderful fit, and will surely have the best of adventures together!

Orli and Tali came very prepared to meet and adopt a new friend. They had lots of information ready even before the adoption. They were both so excited fand they immediately bonded with Roxi. They will be the perfect family and we know they will have so much fun in their lives together!

Moxie was adopted by Christine, a longtime supporter of rescues. She has found a wonderful and loving home where she will be truly cherished every day. Moxie and Christine knew from their first moments together that they are the perfect companions for each other!

Kia is a devoted long-time adopter and steadfast supporter of Gretta's Hamster Rescue. She has lovingly opened her heart and home to rescue hamsters from GHR on multiple occasions. Kia has a deep commitment to providing animals in need with a safe, nurturing, and loving environment. Beyond hamsters, Kia's compassionate spirit has also led her to rescue pigeons and rabbits. Her newest family member Lucky is very lucky to have such an amazing home with Kia!

Danna drove a long way, demonstrating her dedication to providing the best possible home for a hamster. From the moment Theodore met her, he sensed she was the perfect match. Together, they have started a new chapter filled with care, comfort, and companionship.

Abby drove all the way from Wyoming to adopt a hamster from GHR. She was very committed to rescuing a hamster in need of a home. When they met Abby immediately bonded with Simon and Simon loved Abby just as much! We know that Abby and Simon will have a life full of fun and joy being together!

Abby was incredible excited to come meet a hamster. Abby and Agnus bonded right away and knew they would become the best of friends. Abby came very prepared and had done lots of research on how to become the perfect hamster parent! Abby and Agnus will have so much fun together!

Miles came all the way from Colorado Springs to find a Syrian hamster. When he met Miss Frizzle it was love at first sight! They are the perfect pair of friends. We know that they will have so much fun together!

When Remy adopted Chicken Salad and Chili they asked great questions during the adoption process. They committed to supporting a rescue which is awesome! Remy is a first time hamster parent and came a long way to meet their new best friend! We know that Remy and Chicken Salad and Chili will have a great life together!

Lachlan knew almost right away that Boots was the perfect friend for him.. Boots is Lachlan’s first hamster but his parents have had a hamster in the past. Lachlan is very eager to learn and bonded with Boots right away! He also met a bunch of different hamsters but boots was the one for him. They are both really active and make the perfect pair!

Felix and Heather found each other and knew that they were a perfect match! Felix is a first time hamster parent. He had wanted a hamster since he was 9 years old. Felix was committed to a rescue and put in the effort to become an amazing hamster parent. Heather is so lucky to have found someone like Felix!

Minnie and Aina are so excited to become family. Aina is a first time hamster parent. They have had guinea pigs but Minnie is their first hamster. Aina was very excited to meet Minnie and drove a long way to support a rescue! Many congrats to Aina and Minnie on finding their new best friends!

Congrats to Jagger on the adoption of Simba. Jagger is a first time hamster parent. Their mom is a vet. Jagger is committed to being a good, loving hamster parent. Jagger was also committed to supporting a rescue. Simba and Jagger are very lucky to have each others love!

Riley and Mulan make the perfect pair! Riley is an experienced hamster parent. He was very committed to rescuing a hamster, he even built his own enclosure! Huge congrats to Riley and Mulan for getting lucky enough to find each other!

Congrats to Esther and Snow White! Snow White waited a long time for her perfect hamster parent. Esther had hamsters as a kid and her mom loves hamsters too. Her mom had quite a few but it has been about 2 years since their last one passed. They are so excited to add Snow White to their family!

We are so thrilled for Taylor and Macchiato!  Taylor is an experienced hamster parent who spends lots of time with her hammies.  Macchiato is a sweet girl who needs lots of snuggles.  The two are perfect for each other!  Congratulations!

Bear and Cadence were made for each other!  Cadence loves snuggling with hamsters (she is even a volunteer at GHR!) and Bear LOVES to be held!  Cadence was so wonderful to adopt this sweet older hammy and we know that they will be very very happy together.

Cassidy was thrilled to finally be able to adopt a hamster!  She met many of the hamsters at GHR to find just the right fit and was excited to land on Blossom.  Blossom is still young and finding her way, but we know that they will form a tight bond.  We are so happy for you both!

Clover was so excited to find her forever family! While the family was a little camera-shy, Clover certainly was not and was excited to show them how she grooms herself and stuffs her cheek pouches.  Congratulations to this wonderful family!

Sweet little Bashful was one of the “Six Dwarves and Snow White” litter.  He was SO excited to finally find his forever family with Brandon!  Brandon was very patient and excited to meet his new family member and we know the two of them will grow very close.

Christen and Calli were SO excited to meet little Bando! Bando is a sweet little Campbell’s who was abandoned in front of someone’s door about a month ago.  The Good Samaritan contacted us and brought Bando to us.  He was very shy and first but now he enjoys being held and flattens himself down like a pancake to feel lots of rubs on his back.  Christen, Calli, and Bando – Congratulations!

Dopey was so excited to meet his forever family!  Nora, Dan, and Edith were thrilled to meet their newest family member and we are so excited for them! They asked great questions during the adoption process and we know Dopey will be so happy with them.

Though he is named after the sniffling dwarf in Snow White and the seven dwarves, Sneezy is anything but!  He was so thrilled to meet Etta and we know they will bond very quickly!  Etta was excited to support and rescue and we are so glad that she did!

Sweet little George (or Old-Man-George, as we call him) finally found his forever home!  This 2.5-year-old hammy is so sweet and fun to watch and an amazing family decided to adopt this older hamster to give him a great life.  Congratulations to you all!

Though named after the snoozing dwarf in Snow White, Sleepy doesn’t actually sleep that much! He loves to run and definitely started running around when he met Koki and Joey!  All three were so excited and we know they will form a deep bond.  Congratulations!

Happy was indeed so happy to meet his forever family!  Sindu and Shubham were very excited to meet their newest family member and were so kind and patient with him as he explored the play pen and got brave enough to be held.  Congratulations Happy, Sindu, and Shubham!

Jingle Bells hit the jackpot with Erin! Erin is an extremely dedicated and committed hamster-parent who absolutely dotes on her hammies and offers them such an amazing life.  Jingle Bells had some special medical needs and Erin was eager to provide a loving home where Jingle Bells could get the needed support.  We are so grateful to her and so happy for Jingle Bells!
